"The Unsinkable Captain John" Released Online

August 16, 2016

Short documentary "The Unsinkable Captain John", with an evocative orchestral score by Rob, has been released online. Watch the complete documentary here:

Presented by bravofact and created by Rob's longtime friends and collaborators, director Rich Williamson and producer Shasha Nakhai of Compy Films, this film tells the story of Toronto's landmark floating seafood restaurant, sailed across the Atlantic by Slovenian immigrant "Captain" John Letnik in the 1970s.  A hotspot for decades, the restaurant later declined and fell into disrepair as waterfront development boomed, and soon the City of Toronto began a lengthy court process of evicting Captain John from his longtime berth in the harbour to make room for more waterfront condos.
