JUNO Nominations for "Moorka", "Spin Cycle"

February 4, 2016

Two projects Rob was heavily involved in last year received JUNO nominations.

"Spin Cycle" by the Afiara Quartet, featuring DJ Skratch Bastid, was nominated for Instrumental Album of the Year.  As one of four featured composers on this innovative project, Rob composed an original string quartet which was recorded by the Afiara Quartet, then remixed by Skratch Bastid, and then "re-remixed" with overdubbed string parts written by Rob.

"Moorka" by the Lemon Bucket Orkestra was nominated for World Music Album of the Year.  This is the band's second JUNO nomination in this category.  Rob was a member of the band for four years and participated in many recording projects and tours of Eastern Europe and Canada, and played on every song on this album before leaving the band to move to Los Angeles.
