Price: $1.49 (Digital Scores) Number of Copies (minimum 8):   [questions?]   This short and simple composition, originally for women's choir, was the winner of Grace Church-on-the-Hill's St. Cecilia Composition Competition in 2009; the text was one of several prescribed options for the competition.  I created an arrangement for men's choir for the 2010 Colours of Music Festival (featured in above video: Primus Men's Choir.) I asked for Peace— My sins arose, And bound me close, I could not find release. I asked for Truth— My doubts came in, And with their din They wearied all my youth. I asked for Love— My lovers failed, And griefs assailed Around, beneath, above. I asked for Thee— And Thou didst come To take me home Within Thy heart to be. -Digby Mackworth Dolben (1848 - 1867)
