Price: $1.49 (Digital Scores) Number of Copies (minimum 8):   [questions?] This work was written to honour William Wright, my friend and former choir director, when he received an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Victoria University at the University of Toronto.  William's wife Patricia Wright commissioned this work as a surprise gift. I conducted the premiere at the convocation ceremony; the choir was made up of alumni from William's choir at Deer Park United Church. For the text, I chose the first verse of John Donne's "Hymn to God my God, in my Sicknesse" because I know it is a favourite of William's: he has a calligraphic drawing of this text framed on the wall of his living room. The text expresses both fear and expectant hope as the speaker faces transition from this world into the next. Since I am coming to that Holy room,     Where, with Thy choir of saints for evermore, I shall be made Thy music ; as I come     I tune the instrument here at the door,     And what I must do then, think here before John Donne (1572 - 1631)
